You Do Not Have a Democracy When the Media is Compromised. For years both the print and television media have become too heavily involved in taking sides on political issues, most are not brave enough to really grill our Legislators for fear they will not appear on their network. This is especially true under the current Administration who has made it clear they will try to punish those who don't fall in line and dare to question their policies.
All of 2009 has most of the media deferring to, or having their questions ignored by the Obama Administration.
Two People with interesting takes on terrorism and possible solutions for the U. S., were never of interest to those covering mainstream news in 2009.

The "Wake Up America" 2.0 Agenda is an updated and expanded version of Rep. Sue Myrick's original Wake Up America Agenda introduced in 2008. This agenda seeks to build upon her national security and counter-terrorism work over the past several years in Congress as well as her new work on the House Permanente Select Committee on Intelligence.
Area 1. Domestic Counter Terrorism
1. Preventing Terrorists Access to American Shores
• Visa Waver Program Security
• Political Asylum and Refugee Security
• Border and Port Security
2. Preventing Domestic Radicalization, Infiltration, and Acts of Terror
• Prison radicalization
• Local Terrorism Detection and Response Training
• Institutions/Agency Infiltration
Instead of exploring the above Agenda, the media covers -
"Napolitano: "The system worked"
Those reporting the news never seemed to get around to asking politicians why after 9/11, the State Department still hands out visas like candy. Or, why the U.S. is still accepting an ever-increasing number of immigrants from countries that should be on our terror radar. The public would be better served if these subjects were given the same attention as senators and celebrities cheating on their wives.
