Another Reason Why Americans no Longer Like or Trust Members of Congress
America is now a haven for criminals of every sort; if you want to do criminal acts and not be held responsible or go to jail, become a Politician, or Government employee. Nancy Pelosi’s vow to run a more ethical Government than the one under the Bush Administration is laughable. The Obama Administrations promise of “Transparency”, about their actions has proven to be an empty one. Earmarks that waste taxpayer money, sweetheart deals for friends and relatives, tax evasion, cover-ups, and acceptance of bribes are common. Scandals about affairs, involving members of Congress are great fodder for comedians; especially involving those who preach “family values”. The following are the names of just a few of those who are ethically challenged, and there are many more who should be on the list, but Congress it seems only grows more corrupt every year. Kent Conrad , Jim DeMint, Sen. Christopher Dodd, Rep. Norm Dicks, Roland Burris, , Rep. John Murtha, Rep. William Jefferson, Rep. Maxcine waters, Rep. Pete Visclosky. Government employees and Agencies - Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, The social Security Administration, and Post office, are also involved in unethical and criminal activities.
Anything For a Buck and a Vote
These same Politicians ignore and do nothing about the crime in the streets of America. Criminals of every sort have free reign. Drugs, and Gangs are related and though violence they terrorize and rule many urban neighborhoods, and are expanding their reach to rural areas as well. There is a Youth Gangs, Drugs, & Violence Connection. Not only do we have a domestic gang problem, but because of the inaction of politicians who will do anything to corner votes; we have gang members and criminals operating freely who are from Latin America, and Europe and are not citizens of America. These groups are involved in drugs, gun smuggling as well as human trafficking. Some Government officials stand in the way of agencies, and police department who arrest non-citizen criminals, fearing it will cost them votes.
