Elephants Never Forget, Republicans never learn

Republicans can be relied upon to deflate any momentum they are gaining with infighting, and blunders. Instead of trying to gain the support of Tea Party members, they tried to co-opt the movement and marginalize Sarah Palin. When that wasn’t successful, they simply ignored their growing power. In addition, they failed to recognize that Tea Party members were also angry with Republicans in Congress who supported increased spending under President Bush.
